What's the Difference Between WAV, MP3, and Trackouts?
An MP3 is a heavily compressed single audio file. This is the most optimal format for listening, as the file size is small and quick to load.
A WAV is a higher quality, lossless single audio file...meaning it can be processed and manipulated without any noticeable loss in fidelity.
— Both MP3 and WAV files come with our WAV License.
The Trackouts (or "stems") are the individual wav files of each track contained in a beat. Having these gives you and/or your mixing and mastering engineer the most control over each sound, usually resulting in the best mix possible.

When I buy beats online, do they come untagged?
YES! Beats licensed from jssoundsmusic.com will have repeated tags removed upon purchase. However, we do keep one intro signature tag at the beginning of each beat.
If you wish to completely remove ALL tags, you can do so by purchasing a Pro or Exclusive license. Both of these options come with trackouts which you can add or remove to your liking (the intro tag being one of them).
Can I put my songs on iTunes and Spotify?
Yes! All of our licenses come with the rights to distribute your songs to all platforms, including Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, TIDAL, etc.
Are Your Beats Royalty Free?
In short, no. We do ask for a portion of royalties if a song sees a significant amount of revenue after the artist has made back their initial investment in the beat, as most producers do.
Do You Have Free Beats?
Yes. Every so often we do offer 100% free hip hop beats. Some free beats will come untagged with a license agreement to use commercially. Others will be tagged and for non-profit use only.
